[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide cafeteria services to the government authority located in New York, NY.
– Sublicense food service operations will be required to report total gross receipts generated from food service.
– Food should be minimally processed and based principally on fresh seasonable vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and lean proteins. Vegetarian, vegan, raw, kosher, and gluten-free choices should be provided and clearly labeled.
– Foods should not contain any trans-fat and must be consistent with the city food policy, which may change from time to time. the vendor should also avoid the use of genetically modified foods (to the extent possible), unhealthy fats and fried foods, refined sugars, artificial sweeteners, packaged, processed snack foods, and beverages other than bottled water, low fat milk and unsweetened tea and coffee.
– The menus should include breakfast and lunch items. Specials should be provided and offered on at least a weekly basis.
– Maintain adequate inventory to ensure a constant supply of food and beverages.
– Sell food and beverages to the public must possess all required federal, state and city authorizations, and possess, and at all times display.
– Operate the food service facility if he or she has obtained the appropriate, valid permits and authorizations required by department. agency reserves the right to prevent, ban or disallow any product or brand.
– Develop, operate and maintain a snack bar at the premises at a high standard of quality. the snack island should make a significant improvement to the ambience of police headquarters while providing a convenient service to the department employees. see attached layout. new layout will include coffee bar, pick up counter, two snack islands, hot food bar, salad bar, soup warmers and refrigerators. Agency must provide all utensils necessary when operating a food service cafeteria, such as hot beverage cups and lids, napkins, straws, utensil packets and stirrers.
(2) A recommended pre-bid meeting will be held on September 29, 2021.
(3) Contract term will be four year.
